Double Dousey

Two HUGE nights in a row. I give a large thank you to Lauren for hooking me up with tickets to the Garden on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday night Roger Waters from Pink Floyd performed along with the original drummer, Nick Mason. They put on an incredible show. I'm talking explosions, floating pigs, the whole dome filled with smoke, and a eclectic light and video show playing in the background. The first half was mostly new songs and Wish You Were Here, then the second was the whole Dark Side of the Moon album. I'm so happy that I got to see him before age gets the best of em'. Now I just have to see David Gilmour.

So then the next night I went on down to Margaritaville, without my Hawaiian shirt. Good ol' Jimmy Buffet was wearing bright yellow shorts, a turquoise t-shirt, and no shoes. He was all smiles throughout the whole show. It was such a good time. Katie and I were loving it, singing and dancing to our favs. After the show I really wanted to eat a cheeseburger (in paradise,) I had leftover chicken instead.

Lil' Nips and Lil' Victor

Last week, Adam Wade and I paid a visit to Mario’s, the bar below my apartment. Older men, particularly Ukrainian and Italian, are most of Mario’s customers. We fit it just fine that night because it was just Victor (the owner and my landlord), Adam, and I. We drank lil' bud nips because they stay colder. Victor was telling us stories about the good old days like how he used to make wine, chase girls in Italy, and how he got diabetes. He wouldn't let me get behind the bar to bartend but he was very willing to pose for photos. I tried to slip in that my apartment needs a new oven but I don’t think he heard me.

I felt bad at first, then cried laughing.

Alive With The Glory Of Love

I have a new favorite song right now by a band called, Say Anything. I listen to this song everyday and cannot help but sing along out loud no matter where I am. The other night I was singing on the train on the way home and I think I got a few looks and some people took a step away.
Click the iTunes button and it will take you there to preview it.

Not an Early Night

Friday night I went out with Josh (right) and since I had to work at 6:00AM the next morning, it was supposed to be an early, low-key night. We went to Sapa, a really nice, swanky, hot spot restaurant/bar in Chelsea. Josh knows the owner so that led to a long night with a constant drink in hand. We ate oysters and the wasabi cocktail sauce was addicting! Those are his two friends from Texas in the photo. They were really fun. It was a good night, followed by a horrible morning. When my alarm went off at 5AM I didn't know what was going on. (We put on our glasses for the photo, dont worry I didnt wear them the whole night)

The next day I worked until 2, then went back to Hoboken to get ready for the PINK SPIDERS CONCERT! You may have seen them on MTV. They played at The Knitting Factory. Surprisingly, they put on a really good show. The crowd was full of teenage girls so we sat up in the balcony, away from the soft-core moshing. Check out the vid.
