Pool Party Sunday

Pool Party Sundays are the best. This weeks performers were Apollo Sunshine, Beirut, and Deerhoof. Beirut has a song out now called Postcards From Italy and it is a must hear. I suggest everyone download it and listen to it while drinking a glass of wine and reminiscing memories you love to play over and over again in your head. Deerhoof is indie at its finest. The little Japanese singer is hard to understand but it makes the songs better that way. It was a fantastic day.

Cuffed

I've been arrested and we got it all on camera. These nice cops were cool enough to pose for a picture... this was after the concert on Sunday. The concert was so much fun. I'll post pics of it later.

This is Not Funny Anymore

Why does everyone with a reality show focusing on their happy marriage, end up crashing and burning? Carmen and Dave were not a surprise, Jessica and Nick was a kinda "I knew it", and now Travis and Shanna. This last one comes to me with devastation, shock, and a tear that fell down my cheek when I heard the news. I recorded hours of their loving banter to watch at times when I thought there was no hope for love. They would cry when having to leave eachother, he flew a freakin plane over her head that said something like "I love my bo bos," and they have two kids! I'm still upset. They are not saying what broke them up... That will come later.

So who's next. I wonder how long it will take Adrienne and Chris from My Fair Brady. That won't come as a surprise but I'll be sad for them because I really like them.

On a side note, the only plant I've ever tried to raise (besides my chia pet) did make it up out of the soil past an inch. My mom bought for me a basil growing kit. I was really excited to have fresh basil for cooking, but my over-excitement led to over-watering. I keep thinking about that Sandra Bullock movie where she is in rehab and they tell one of the guys that before he can have a real relationship he has to successfully raise a plant. I'll try again soon.
